SCW COACHING OFFICER
£31,000 - £34,000 per annum(37 hours)

A new partnership between sports coach UK, Sports Council Wales and the Welsh Sports Association has led to an exciting opportunity for the employment of a generic coaching officer to work with a number of identified Welsh NGB's to assist them with the development of coaching.
The post will be based at the Welsh Institute of Sport, Cardiff but in order to service the National Governing Bodies, travel throughout Wales will be required. You will be responsible for working with an identified number of governing bodies and the work will vary depending on their individual requirements. You will be taking a lead role in driving forward coaching within their organisation, influencing the strategic direction for coaching and ensuring that an infrastructure is in place to ensure sustainability. You will have a key role to play in assisting the governing bodies to ensure appropriate systems are in place to recruit, train, deploy and retain coaches.
We are looking for someone with sports development / coach development experience along with a good understanding of coaching within Wales and the UK.
