‘With regards to the complaints received about the above Association breaching the 21.9 rule.  As explained to the people concerned – Welsh Higshi is an autonomous group, with it’s own constitution, AGM’s etc.,  The group does not have it’s own website. Welsh Higashi was originally called Welsh Karate Wado Kai – at the time Sid Crocker’s Association was called Wales Karate Wado Kai – in order to avoid confusion, the Chief Instructor Keith Mumberson asked Peter Spanton of Higashi Karate Kai, if they could use the ‘Higashi’ title – whilst still retaining their individual identity, constitutions etc., the arrangement was for a title change only.

It is not part of Higashi Karate Kai – Peter Spanton however occasionally delivers courses in Wales.  It has been confirmed that Peter Spanton’s Association are in membership of the EKF and therefore part of the WKF  family - so no breach of 21.9 has been made.

Information regarding links to a dissenting Organisation displayed on Higashi Karate Kai website has been given to the BKF following reports from WKGB members.’
